i don't see that as being a vulture. he's made plenty of money selling overpriced stuff to undereducated consumers. a friend of mine who used to go there a lot used to see our ex politician vince fumo there a lot. i know from another friend that was friends with fumos son that he had quite a collection. made quite a few purchases before the AWB went into place. i wonder if those will ever get auctoned off.

This guy was a joke, over $20 for a box of 9mm FMJ. I was talking to a guy once who went there to buy his 1st gun, they sold him a Jennings 9mm for around $550, and told him it was more reliable than a Glock 19. WTF!!!

Is he shutting down on his own, or are they shutting him down? With the current allegations...will they even allow him to sell off his remaining inventory?

What a shame.
Colisimo's, at one time and under the original ownership, was the class of Philadelphia's gun stores. They were a Smith and Wesson distributor that supplied S&W issue revolvers to the Phila. P.D. and a number of other area Police Departments. They had competative pricing on all makes of guns and accessories. Their staff was helpful and informed. When Mr. Colisimo died, the business was taken over by a family member, which was the end of the store's golden era. Incompetance, ignorance, and dishonesty were part of the new ownerships code of ethics or lack thereof. Their profit margin was fed off of misinformed and many times first time buyers. Over the years, their sales fell off, and apparently their business standards fell off as well. I wonder what the next gun store will be picketed against by the anti-gun ownership groups posing as religious and concerned citizens. Last edited by c45man; September 29th, 2009 at 06:29 PM.
