I agree it would be a hassle from the Philadelphia Police and the mall has a no firearms policy so we couldn't enter anyway. And with that said, of course I wouldn't carry and want to protect myself there.

Protest at Franklin Mills
A number of demonstrators were arrested Saturday when crowds of people gathered at the Franklin Mills Mall, some protesting and others supporting the presence of Army recruiters with combat-simulation games. Dozens of protesters demanded the Army Experience Center be closed; dozens of counter-protesters, including Vietnam War veterans, heckled them. http://www.philly.com/philly/news/ho...TY_REGION.html |

Poor taste is subjective.
Its also in poor taste for these people to disrespect the very military branch that helped provide them the ability to even protest trivial shit like this in the first place.

This thread is in poor taste. If you want to counter-protest or act politically, great, but some of these other suggestions are unseemly and the idea that the the military should be beyond criticism is un-American.
"Oooh, let's harass people with different opinions or religious convictions!" What if there was a mirror thread on the Brady website: "Here is DanP's # and address - please badger him." While I'm sure some of the Army Experience protesters are simply anti-military, it sounds like most are trying to make a distinction and say that they are against the way these "Army Experience" centers operate. I happen to agree with them to some degree: I think 'selling' armed service along with a less violent version of Call of Duty is distateful. Kind of like how beverage companies market "alcopops" to the underage. War is not child's play. The Navy and Marines recruit just fine by advertising along the lines of "Become a better person, serve your country, learn usefull skills." |

I have been to this place. I found out about it from a friend. I missed a protest back in March by a few hours. I was going there directly from drill in my ACU's. There is nothing wrong with the place. They dont bother you. It is just an information tool that shows aspects of what we do. In all sense to me it would deter young adults from joining. I mean damn feeling the Hum-V shake during your route mission cause an RPG almost hits it. Nerve wrecking. But yes it's all anti war people with nothing better to do. It's loitering and should be locked up as such.
