Ive seen your blog, Tom. What an ordeal- I feel for you man. The corruptness of Street and his cronies runs deep. It still amazes me that there are halfway decent white people who continue to for for Street and crew...

I'm too lazy to type up the whole ordeal once again. It is all over my LiveJournal though.

The basic story and how the charges were FINALLY dismissed by a Judge:

http://hartt-tommel.livejournal.com/17784.html

Philadelphia tells me that they're "investigating" whether or not I should get my guns back... in Feb 2006 (and I'm still waitting):

http://hartt-tommel.livejournal.com/19623.html

Hoping that the Philly PD will realise they are breaking the law by keeping my guns:

http://hartt-tommel.livejournal.com/19194.html

A pic of my stolen guns and another rant are here:

http://hartt-tommel.livejournal.com/25102.html

Fun and games while trying to get the permit that I supposedly don't have back:

http://hartt-tommel.livejournal.com/28277.html#cutid1

There's people that I love and care about in Philly, but the current administration, D.A's office, and police aren't worth a damn and have pretty much made me give up on a town that I used to love so much...

Wow.... Tommel

That's horrible. Makes me glad I live across the state. Some of our police are abusive, but it sounds like the whole system is f**ked up in Philly.

it would be good idea to have a lawyer get your guns and your carry permit back . I am confused why they would keep your property , I know some people are overly zealous , but this seems to be overboard. I wish you a speedy return of your property . Have a good day.

I am not from philidelphia, I grew up in easton. But we had alot of "thugs" come up to our school system and cause problems....

Realistically, the only solution to philidelphia's problems in my opinion....

Arm every law abiding citizen. If I were running things there, I would require every person who had no criminal record to carry a weapon on them at all times. I would require at least 120 hours of firearms/self defence/ use of force training. If there is a shooting, and you had a criminal record, you would be pre suppposed guilty. The honest law abiding citizen would get the benefit of the doubt.

I would have organized armed neighborhood watch groups watch the low crime areas, and send the police force into the high crime areas.

If anyone set a foot in your door uninvited, you would be allowed shoot them on the spot.

I would also deputize anyone who wanted it, and make them take the neccessary training. Unpaid position, but they would be authorized arrest powers exactly as the police have.

I would also want mandatory 15 years sentances for anyone caught with a gun who had a criminal record. 25 year minimum sentances for anyone who uses a gun in a crime. No parole....

Arm the populace, everyone. Crime will cease to exist... Bottom line....

Do the above, I would be willing to bet my house that within 10 years philidelphia would be one of the lowest crime cities in the country. Public opinion would shift from being afraid of guns, to looking at someone with a raised eye who did not have one... Combat gangs, and organized crime, with a bigger gang... everyone!!!!

What are you, some kind of gun nut? Just get rid of the guns and the crime rate will fall to zero.

I feel for the innocent,But giving liberty for security is never the answer. The liberal politicians in philly will never hold anyone whos poor or a minority accountable for their actions.Like a typical democrat they through money and government at the problem.
