Default Congressman Platts moving out?

Article in today's York paper says US Rep Platts is being considered for the position of Comptroller General. While it would be extremely premature to plan on such a move (there are 17 other candidates as of today, and the Dems get to decide), who would run in the special election to fill his seat? It would be a good seat for a constitutionalist (as opposed to a conservative, neoconservative, Libertarian, or Republican). Anybody from PAFOA interested?

Platt is a good rep to have, I'd hate to lose him.

It's interesting how all of these repubs are being pulled to fill other jobs - leaving empty congressional seats that need to be filled by a special election (enter Acorn). I doubt I'm the only on that sees the pattern.

I don't think this would be part of such a pattern, if any. Platts has maintained an interest in fiscal responsibility (which, while greater than most in Congress, is still not enough) that would be a good match for the GAO. Besides which, I have a hard time seeing the Dems allowing any important position to be filled by one not of their own.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that. Acorn is nothing but a major scam being pulled on the country, that needs to be met with force and shut down. Nothing good will ever come from this group being around.
