FOAC-recommended candidate Mike Slupe won his race handily.

Mike Slupe is the new Sheriff in town.

The Republican candidate easily defeated Roland Livermore in Tuesday's general election by garnering nearly 70% of the vote.

The Sheriff's race was the most watched county-wide race, as all of the other county row-offices were uncontested. Voter turnout in Butler County looks to be somewhere just over 25%.

If he changes it (for the worse) from Rickard, he's not going to last very long, I suspect.

I'd imagine if he does not, it'll be a real short run as Sheriff.

I have read a few different places where he has said if you pass the requirements you will not be denied. He has also stated that he would like to extend the hours for accepting applications, possibly add Saturday's, and try to open a satellite office in Cranberry to accept applications. All of which seem pretty good to me.

I should have stated it better, what i meant was, will he use the 1 hr. or less process, or the 45 day process.
