Poofa Politicians: How Did You Do?

4 Town council seats and the mayor were up for reelection. I won in the council along with three other rep. The new mayor is also a rep and won. Non of us had any opposition though.

I ran in a town out numbered 8:1 D's to R's. I was not born or raised here, and this town is very Klanish. I only lived here 5 years. The mayor has a LARGE family. And I got beat 2:1 545: 260

The county party says that's win. The mayor had to work at winning. I'll get him next time.

I think the county R's are right, that's some good work. To get beat 2:1 in a place where:

- party affiliation is 8:1 against you
- you ran against an incumbent

is an accomplishment. Keep up the pressure, make sure over his next term you keep yourself in the public eye, and you'll do better next time out.

It really is a hollow win for the mayor too. I won as Inspector of Elections.

Congrats! I have to ask though: will you still be Inspector of Elections at the end of the mayor's term? If so, you'll be inspecting your own election against him! I bet that'll come in handy...

JK, I assume a resignation or recusal of some kind will be necessary.
