Best way is to ask the person you are voting for, check their website.. I dont trust any group to tell me know to vote for. Provide me with info (that I can back up with sources) on a candidate, but dont tell me who to pull a lever (or push a "button" for.

I am NOT a FOAC board member and I have worked with, given my time to the leadership of FOAC efforts to help elect pro gun people to office and have attend lots of their open meetings over the years where gun owners opinions are valued and encourage. It’s a member driver organization.
I Also have stayed at a holiday inn before so I am still not an expert on FOAC and I am not entitled to represent them officially with the following its my observations over the many years. Still i know Kim Stolfer so at least I know an expert.

Many people running for office take the time to go make a personal presentation at a FOAC monthly meeting to get a FOAC endorsement for a reason, they know FOAC is a straight shooter and been changing the political landscape for many years. Haven't you ever wonder why there are so many solid Pro-gun "D" from western PA? can you say FOAC

It causes lots of grief to anti-gun "D" from the east to break the party over firearm rights.

In lots of cases it a group at the meeting that gets to review all of this information to support or not to support people and they have a vote so it not just one or two persons calling the shots. Again the individual FOAC member has a say, how many other groups offer that to their membership?

How FOAC does it venting process of people runing for office?

FOAC has a very detailed questionnaire that they send to all positions, it’s the bench mark that has been forcing other groups to upgrade theirs.

Typical they send lots of questionnaires It could be as high as 800-1000 questionnaires depending if a off season election or primary, typical they have to send out 1/3 because they are ignored or lost. Funny when people runing for office show up at a gun show to try to get votes, they get all upset because their name is not on a FOAC sheet.

FOAC follow up in most of cases with personal interviews, they don’t just give out endorsements to people like cracker jack prizes or because of political connections and they don’t play the “R” and “D” games like others do. They also take into considerations past voting records and public statements made on firearms.

Couple reasons why people don’t get recommendations, endorsement or no suitable candidates for elections.

Some of the counties will not share this public information of who is running for office even though they are required by law to do so.

IF THEY DON’T RETURN IT, THEY CAN’T GET ONE IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST REASONS there is no suitable candidate no matter how pro gun they are or are not. Really how can you endorse someone without out something to base it on in writing? By putting it in writing it also holds them accountable in the future.

What they write on their questionnaires, lots that think they are 2nd amendment, but you would be surprised at what forms of gun control they will support.

Also here is a big one, I read many on PAFOA blast others on the forums for small amounts of gun control because of the brain washing from the media, so why do you think it will be any different with the average person running for office?

Also there are many people who may own firearms and may be life long hunters or who family or friends that are sportsmen’s, LEO does that make the automatically pro-gun? Lots will support more gun control because they have NOT study the issues and WE have not done our job to educate them about the big picture in the best case (we can work with these people) . Other elected people are dedicated to more gun control and even go to local gun clubs back in their district to BS them with pictures of them wear hunting outfits or going hunting, but will attend anti-gun rally, co sponsor anti-gun legislation. So they own guns, would you still consider them still pro gun? We don’t, their actions speak louder than words they spout off when they want to con you out of your vote at election time.

Also there are lots of people that are whores and will do or say anything to have power, so when long time anti-gunners say they support the 2nd amendment. Do you believe them when they say that we need this or that clever sounding name common sense gun control law?

You have all of sudden witness the sudden conversion and photo ops taken right before an election to attempt to say "we are one of a sportsmen, you should vote for us".
Note how even anti-gunners court gun owners votes, so your vote do count and can change the course of the future.

I said this before and say it again if they ever get the votes in PA, you will see how fast PA becomes the most anti-gun state in the country.

I know FOAC is the best kept secret to most people, except the pro gun people holding office because of FOAC support, I also know how much FOAC has influence in Harrisburg because of it supporting pro gun people at election time. One thing different about FOAC is they don’t throw money at politicians as many do they have and provide volunteers to walk, direct mailing or pass out literature on election day the their opponents have to sell their loyalty to raise lots of money to pay “mercenaries” people what FOAC volunteers do for FREE. That when we go down to Harrisburg many Reps we offer us help and support to pass pro gun legislation, and why we can put on those rallies in Harrisburg, how do you think we have so much influence?

We didn't buy it with money, we did it by FOAC deeds and direct actions.

If you don’t know enough about FOAC maybe you should take the time to investigate FOAC, Kim Stolfer is the chairman.

FOAC takes the time that all of US should before election time but don't for what ever reason we don't before we cast our ballot.

Again FOAC doesn't play the "R" & "D" games, just the pro gun is all.

The big goal FOAC always works toward is improving by education elected people in office is to becoming more pro gun. Some thing that takes lots of time, that many don't seem to have the time to, yet wonder why their rights are taken.

Please visit FOAC web site and IF you live in Western PA come to a meeting its not as much fun as a group shot, but you can only have still one because of FOAC actions. What's you rights worth to you to protect them from those that want to take them?

I hope everyone is voting for (someone) on Election Day.

Tuesday November 3 is an off-year election. Turnout is expected to be light, so your vote will count that much more.

If you haven't taken the time to investigate past statement and voting records along with, actaully talking with people running for office over the summer and fall FOAC has.

Go to FOAC web site for pro gun voters guides

http://www.foac-pac.org/

If you got some time hand, print up bunch of the FOAC pro voter guides and hand them out to people as they are walking into vote on election day.

Just obey all the election rules, don't block anyone, don't be rude and say something short like "protect your rights" or" help elect some common sense judges to office to lock up the bad guys" or anything you can say as you pass out a flier.

The statewide races are very important to protect your rights:

SUPREME COURT
Joan Orie Melvin

SUPERIOR COURT
Temp Smith
Judy Olson
Paula Ott
Kevin McCarthy

COMMONWEALTH COURT
Kevin Brobson
Patricia McCullough

Please print up some FOAC voters guide and take it to the polls on Tuesday
Nov 3.

I have a hard time beliving someone with "new deal democrat" perspectives and "political perspectives shaped by social policies" (social justice?) is really going to support gunowners the way we want. Even if FOAC supports Kevin McCarthy I think I'll pass.

Are you allowed to bring papers in? I'm usually good at remembering who I want to vote for but just in case I have them all written down.
