Thumbs down black caucus & the NRA

What possible reason could there be for the NRA to negotiate with these A-Holes?

I don't know too much yet, but it appears the NRA is supporting more enforcement of laws when a gun is used in a crime...sort of like Project Exile.

I do not expect the NRA to negotiate any type of restriction for sales.

Based upon a conversation I had with the aide of one of members of the caucus, the root cause of Philly's murder rate is drug crime, not GUN crime (my point was violence is violence, regardless of the tool used).
I contacted my local rep (in central PA) requesting he initiate a bill that would eliminate pleading or dropping of straw purchase violations...in other words, you buy a gun (or other weapon) for a felon...you go to jail...no debate, no negotiations.

However, this is a good thing to keep an eye on. The NRA could screw up on this.

The NRA was working nationally with anti's like Carolyn McCarthy and the passage of H.R. 2640, "The NICS Improvement Amendments Act" last month (which the GOA disagreed with). They have worked with people like Barbara Boxer in the past on a bill allowing airline pilots to be armed. So its not unusual, even on a state level. And the Governor of Philadelphia did say he plans to make gun control a priority this fall.

But like Roy said, "...this is a good thing to keep an eye on. The NRA could screw up on this."

Rendell has made gun control a priority for years...even when mayor of Philadelphia.
However, he is not to be trusted at all. He was one of the architects of those lawsuits against gun manufacturers. He is not anti-crime...he is anti-rights.

And I thought that I was harsh with my opinions. Sheesh, but accurate.

Best regards,
