Oath Keepers: Orders We Will Not Obey

1. We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people.

2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects — such as warrantless house-to house searches for weapons or persons.


3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to trial by military tribunal.

4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state, or to enter with force into a state, without the express consent and invitation of that state’s legislature and governor.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty and declares the national government to be in violation of the compact by which that state entered the Union.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control” during any emergency, or under any other pretext. We will consider such use of foreign troops against our people to be an invasion and an act of war.

9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies, under any emergency pretext whatsoever.

10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

Then you sir are a naive fool! Civil Rights contained in the PA and US Constitution are being subverted on a DAILY basis by Police in America! They will look after their own posteriors and thats ALL!

In an earlier thread a number of posts showed citizens being disarmed by police and military personnel. These were youtube videos from the Katrina period

I have stated that I do NOT believe that our military will take up arms against the people of this nation and would NOT follow the orders of any that gave those orders. Just how much can the ~Gun Grabbers~ really do? It appears that I am NOT alone in this belief!

I talk to quite a few troops, active duty troops, and they are of the same belief that I am, their friends and families are gun owners and hunters, they will not take up arms against their friends and families.

I was turned on to this site, Oath Keepers, by my fellow patriot and friend Basti, I hope you will visit both sites and offer your support in comments or in any other way you feel to be appropriate!

Folks, I would not be at all surprised if the Obama administration were to attempt to order some sort of action against the American people if Obama feels he is about to lose control of this nation, or to lose his position as President. Enact orders possibly through his right hand socialist and trusted confidant, Eric Holder. As said previously, I don’t fear our military and police, they ARE going to uphold their oath to protect this nation and defend the constitution against ALL enemies, foreign AND domestic, they will do the right thing

Ask the Japanese Americans about concentration camps and what they got back. Ask the American Indians about the good old reservations and what they got back

Right of eminent domain. Ask the people in my county fighting PPL and their purposed power line

How many times has Philadelphia refused or broken up peaceful assemblies ?

You may be wrong in your beliefs a lot of soldiers will follow orders blindly just like sheep look at the last vote. And who is now president.

I used to ask people in my unit questions on what they would do if given certain orders. I remember very few even questioning wether the orders were illegal even if it came to firing on civilian protesters.

The majority of the US military will simply follow orders.

The vast majority of LEOs and military personnel will blindly obey orders, fire upon and do otherwise unspeakable things to unarmed civilians, let alone armed civilians... and furthermore, they will sleep like babies the very same night.

Don't kid yourselves, would-be patriots of the next revolution... if/when the balloon goes up, allies will be few and far between.

I think the majority of the National Guard WILL NOT blindly follow those orders. I can't speak of the active components but the guardsmen that I know and work with would not take arms against US citizens. I know that I could never enforce an act that is unconstitutional. I was in New Orleans during Katrina... I disarmed NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON. I stopped and talked to quite a few who were visably armed and very pissed off but did not remove their weapons. I got "talked to" by the Lt for it but that's it. I told him if he wanted me to collect guns from citizens who were defending their property they should put me on a plane and send me home. Most of my troops felt the same way.

It would only take one Court and One PVT Slovik in case you forget who he was.

While enroute to his assigned unit, Slovik and a friend, Private John Tankey, took cover during an artillery attack and became separated from their detachment. The next morning, they found a Canadian military police unit and remained with them for the next six weeks. Tankey wrote to their regiment to explain their absence before he and Slovik reported for duty on October 7, 1944. No charges against them were filed.

The following day, on October 8, Slovik informed his company commander, Captain Ralph Grotte, that he was "too scared" to serve in a rifle company and asked to be reassigned to a rear area unit. He told Grotte that he would run away if he were assigned to a rifle unit, and asked his captain if that would constitute desertion. Grotte confirmed that it would. He refused Slovik's request for reassignment and sent him to a rifle platoon.

The next day, October 9, Slovik approached an MP and gave him a note in which he stated his intention to "run away" if he were sent into combat. He was brought before Lieutenant Colonel Ross Henbest, who offered him the opportunity to tear up the note and face no further charges. Slovik refused and wrote another note, stating he understood what he was doing and the consequences of his act.

Slovik was taken into custody and confined to the division stockade. The divisional judge advocate, Lieutenant Colonel Henry Summer, again offered Slovik an opportunity to rejoin his unit and have the charges against him suspended. He also offered Slovik a transfer to another infantry regiment. Slovik declined these offers, saying, "I've made up my mind. I'll take my court martial."

The 28th Division was scheduled to begin an attack in the Hurtgen Forest. The coming attack was common knowledge in the unit, and casualty rates were expected to be very high, as the prolonged combat in the area had been unusually grueling. The Germans were determined to hold, and terrain and weather reduced the usual American advantages in armor and air support to almost nothing. A small minority of soldiers indicated they preferred to be imprisoned rather than remain in combat (less than .5%), and the rates for desertion and other crimes had begun to rise.

Slovik was charged with desertion to avoid hazardous duty and court martialed on November 11, 1944. The prosecutor, Captain John Green, presented witnesses to whom Slovik had stated his intention to "run away." The defense counsel, Captain Edward Woods, announced that Slovik had elected not to testify. The nine officers of the court found Slovik guilty and sentenced him to death. The sentence was reviewed and approved by the division commander, Major General Norman Cota.

On December 9, Slovik wrote a letter to the Supreme Allied commander, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, pleading for clemency. However, desertion had become a problem, and Eisenhower confirmed the execution order on December 23. The execution by firing squad was carried out at 10:04 a.m. on January 31, 1945, near the village of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. Slovik was 24 years old.

Slovik was buried in Plot E of Oise-Aisne American Cemetery and Memorial in Fère-en-Tardenois, alongside 96 other American soldiers executed for crimes such as murder and rape. Their black headstones bear numbers instead of names, so it is impossible to identify them individually without knowing the key. In 1987, 42 years after his execution, Slovik's remains were returned to Michigan and reburied in Woodmere Cemetery, Detroit, next to those of his wife Antoinette Slovik, who had died in 1979. Although Slovik's wife and others have petitioned seven U.S. presidents for his pardon, Slovik has not been pardoned.

This post was from an article, which appeared in Gun Digest, by Charlie Cutshaw. He suggested that LEO's take the oath.

But, as we all should know, the constitution, both ours in PA as well as the U.S. Constitution have been corrupted by lawyerly language. The laws; which have been written by lawyers, regardless of what the constitution says, are what the LEO's and military will obey.

Right. Oath-Keepers are a minority who vow not to be a party to that.
