Just sent this to my rep. He wasn't on the list (because he's a democrat) but he is a good guy, I have met him a few times and he isn't anti-gun. Even though I voted against him!

Dear Representative Taylor,

Rick, It was good to see you the other day at the ***** residence to welcome home Matt from Iraq. I wanted to make you aware of a bill sitting before the house judiciary committee, HB40. I understand Gun legislation is a rough subject, but this transcends firearms. It's about being able to stand up for your rights and stand up for your home. This is not a "gun bill" that's going to kill children. This is a bill to allow citizens to DEFEND our own homes. I support this bill, and hope you do the same.

Highest Regards,

Michael *****

Hey Mike

Rep Rick Taylor was hand delivered a copy of the letter posted at beginning of this thread on March 16, 09.

Read POST #36 in thread for the details about contact with your Rep in his office.
http://forum.pafoa.org/political-138...ce-page-4.html (Sam Rohrer's 10th Amendment Rally for the State of Independence)

Read the post on this tread and the reaction Rep Taylor had to HB 40

Welcome to the forums BTW and THANK YOU for sending a letter to Rep Taylor he told us "that the people back in his district wouldn’t want him to support something like this". Sure wish you with us that day in his office to counter that statement.

FYI we don’t play the R & D game there are many solid Pro Gun Democrats mostly from western PA that stand up and support our firearm rights...

If your Rep is pro gun could have fooled me by his several statements he made that day.

If you are coming to harrisburg on April 21 rally I wouldn't have a problem with the three of us sitting down in his office to see IF I judged him unfairly.
.

Yes Rep Boyd did make the list THANK YOU for helping out..

As of April 29, 09 we now have 93 sponsors we are closing in on the min required amount to do a discharge petition.

Still getting team leader after action reports back to who we should be focusing on from the April 21, rally for sponsors.

Also will be updating this with similar direct action for senate co sponsorship to Senator Alloway's version of castle doctrine.

I just printed out a letter to send to Rep Matthew Bradford on the 70th district. I don't know much about him, so I don't know that it will help.
