Default Something to consider

Since all of the anti-rights stuff is coming from a cadre of urban Democrats, could "we" (PAFOA as a group or maybe in co-operation with Penn. Rifle & Pistol Assn., NRA-PVF or any solid group that shares our goals) pick one of these "legislators" as a political target and work toward getting him voted out of office.

We might start by reviewing the last election results and see which of the candidates had the closest race and going from there. Note, we should also consider the possibility of defeating our "target" within his own party at primaries also, not just with opposition party members.

Anyone care to add thier thoughts?

I like that idea Brick! I like it a lot. The trouble is that that vast majority of these folks have had their seats forever and have people in their constituency who "owe" them. If we could find a way to work it out though, I would try to help any way that I could.

It would be a large undertaking to attempt to unseat one of these Phillycrats or Pittsocrats. Being as those two cities are largely democrat in demographic, they have a lot of support. It would be worth a try if you could garner enough support.

Dave G.Another problem is that, although many people are angry at the repeated attempts to infringe on the Second Amendment, they usually do nothing about it. Many of us here at PAFOA have been making phone calls and firing off e-mails, but my guess is that MANY are not lifting a finger.

When one of these assinine bills is introduced, we need EVERYONE to contact the sponsors...whether or not you reside in that district. Let them know that you are tired of them introducing these bills which will do little to nothing to reduce crime. All it will do is limit the right of law-abiding gun owning citizens to protect ourselves and that we will not allow it to happen.

Secondly, contact YOUR Representative or Senator and let them know how you feel about the proposed bill. Let them know that you expect them to protect the Second Amendment and Article 21 if it comes up for a full vote and that, if they do not, you will not give him or her YOUR vote in the next election.

True enough, but, if we pick someone vulnerable, say one who won his last election or primary by only a slim plurality, it would be easier. Plus if we go after our target with a serious primary threat, he could end up squandering resources that he can't recover from.

So even if we have to throw support to a pro-gun democrat to defeat an anti-gun democrat we win. But, however it shakes out we (PAFOA and pro-gun coalition) have to publicize that the political defeat of "Pick One" was because of our efforts.
