Default 2009 Gun Rally?

Is there going to be a 2009 Capital gun rally like we had in April? That was a very enjoyable and educational experience. Does anyone know if this is in the works?

Good question. I'll bump this up for discussion. It would be nice to have a long range target date than have this jump up at the last minute. Targets should include a large push prior and after any legislation is brought up. Usually, its just after. Hey, how about a couple of dates......just a thought.

I also would like to see one held on a Saturday outside of the Capitol as a media event. Buses can be used to bring those in the western part of the State. Parking would be abundant.
Possibly September 12th, around the date the AWB expired.

They use buses from Philly, they also provide box lunches but thats the other side of the state. Our tax dollars at work through community organizations efforts..........

I wouldn't mind one in the spring, summer and the Sept 12th date if it is doable and makes a statement. I'm local. You call one and I'll be there.

I am an ABATE of PA. member. We used to hold our rallies on Saturdays, but switched to Mondays just for the fact that the legislators are not in on Saturday.

You can charter a bus. Have it make a couple planned stops to pick people up. Have some place like Subway make up a bunch of basic subs to pass out. And probably do this for around $30 a person. They do it for ski trips all the time.

Round trip and a lunch. But you will need a date. And someone to organize it. And then people to ride the bus.

How about local rallies? They are easier to organize, and you get to meet people in your own community who are active.

The folks in Pittsburgh could use one. Do a "teach in," and have a couple of speakers and a press release.
