Default How would this new legislation effect a sale?

I am thinking of buying an AK now while I still can. If the Assault Weapon stuff passes, how would it effect my ability to sell it in PA later if I wanted to?

It would depend on the final wording of the law. I would think that it would make it very difficult to sell a "grandfathered" AW if the antis have their way. I really don't think that anyone can really answer this question now though.

You should buy it with the intention of NOT selling it or giving it up.

Why is that?

I buy firearms for my own enjoyment, protection and as an investment. Not that a particular gun might increase in price, but guns certainly hold their value better than a big screen TV. I have no intention to sell a gun unless I had no intention to shoot it. However, If I spend money on a frivilous gun, that serves little perpose but my enjoyment, and I would never be able to sell it later if the need should arise, it will definatley weigh on my decision.

Who knows, the new law may require me to register it every year and I can deal with that. Maybe after a couple years the anti's want more money for the yearly registartion, maybe they make it even harder to have a grand-fathered gun. Maybe by then I will want to get rid of it and recoup my money to buy the only gun left legal, a musket.

Just give them up now.. save yourself the hassle for the future.

WHile you are it, throw away all your books, and movies that are not G rated, all sharp knives and other potentially dangerous objects or get rid of anything else the gubmint deems too dangerous for you to use.

Diego has a point about buying and not giving it up. I will tell you this. what you have today you might not be able to get tomorrow. What is legal today might be illegal tomorrow. that is the best advice I have. no one knows how the laws will be.

PA might become an anti state in the next 2 years. very well can happen with 1 or 2 major laws. The USA might not go as far. So you might look at other states and say wow I remember when I could have bought that. It would be cool to have one of those.

You get my point

Gun control is coming to this state and country. its on its way. I am sorry to say this. The dems think they have a mandate to be God. They ran against nothing. No position on anything. The republicans are jerks and can't get out of their own way, so I see the dems here for a while. Within 10 years we canl be a socialist country. I am shocked how little freedom means to people. Once its gone your not getting it back. Thats goes for guns and freedom.

Welcome to the new America boys.

The 2 barometers that can measure how close we are to a socialist nation is gun control and how many people join the military/how patriotic people are.

There are people in this country that don't own an American flag. It blows my mind.
