Default Introducing myself and my website - need help incorporating a new 2a organization!

Hello,

I'm a Philadelphia resident writing to introduce myself and my website, www.armedpassengers.org. I have been posting on various blogs including "The High Road" and "Self Defense Forums" for some time now.

I'm currently looking for individuals in the Delaware Valley area who would be willing to help me transform my website into an official nonprofit, 501(c)(4) organization. The first need is for people to be willing to sign on as incorporators and donate their time, experience and enthusiasm to be on the initial board of directors. The organization will also need a mailing address and supplies for startup.

If there is anyone who is willing to help out in this, I would be most appreciative. Please contact me through the email address on the website. Once a few people respond, we can set up a date and place to meet.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Bane

Hey Michael,
We're actually going through the same 501(c)4 process ourselves right now. We should compare notes at some point. We can also recommend a lawyer in Philadelphia who specializes in this area.

Thumbs up to you & good luck michaelbane.

Dan you don't know how much I appreciate that response of sharing information. I tried starting a site, put it on a server, paid it myself, etc. Range Reports was the theme.

When I posted links on some of the other gun forums which I won't mention, they basically told me to advertise my site elsewhere. I mistakenly thought I and most gun forums were in the same game.

Some had no problem with my link though. Some are obviously just in it for the profit.

I was disappointed in those that said take a hike to a fellow pro gunner.

It never took off which happens so I tore it down.

Default Armed Passengers Project Update for 2/18/07

Dear readers,

I want to thank those who responded to my last newsletter asking for people to explore making the Armed Passengers Project a non-profit organization. But we still need a few more people in the Philadelphia, PA area willing to act as an initial Board of Directors. If you think you can spare the time, or know someone who can, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I'd also like to thank one of our newsletter subscribers for giving us some extra publicity. You can read about it at the following link:

As always, any support is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Bane

Default Armed Passengers Project Update for March 12, 2007

Dear Readers,

Yesterday, in the Poughkeepsie Journal, columnist Mark Musso praised heightened airport and rail security screening, calling it “a necessity, regardless of how we feel about it.” He also said “The slight inconvenience is a small price to pay to know that we are safer for the effort.” You can read his commentary at the following link:

http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/a...015/COLUMNISTS

This morning I emailed Mr. Musso to introduce him to the Armed Passengers Project. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an immediate response from him saying that while he had some initial hesitation about the concept, he would review the website, keep an open mind and consider featuring the issue in a future column as “food for thought”.

Let’s hope we can find more journalists willing to have an open mind.

As always, your support of the Armed Passengers Project is appreciated.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Bane
