In Senator john Eichelberger's bill he states this:

"It is well known cannon of judicial construction that a state constitution may not offer less protection of individual rights than the U.S. Constitution does.
But it can afford more protection....."

How the hell is NJ, MD, etc. getting away with denying this to there residents without NRA or others suing the them?

I like it. 2 pages short and directly to the point. I know they mention "firearm components", but I would like them to specifically state "magazines or other ammunition feeding device". "Firearm component" could be interpenetrated as stuff that is required to make the gun usable (barrel, grip, etc.). Magazine capacity has no bearing on the function of the gun beyond feeding it. 3 round capacity vs 30 round capacity - the gun will still run the same regardless.

    Time to contact some reps....

    Greetings,

Seems to be exactly the same bill as last sessions HB 357 from Rep Matcalf. Let's push it harder this time around!

    Regards, Jim

Neither the Commonwealth, nor any of its political subdivisions, shall allow the use of any resources or public funds to enforce any Federal law, executive order or regulation that is enacted or promulgated after the effective
date of this section and attempts to register, restrict or ban the ownership or purchase, whether by number or type, of a firearm, component of a firearm or ammunition.
Wonder what it really means? I'm not being cute or dense but what does existing Case Law mean in terms of this legislation?

Except the gun control nuts to "poison pill" this thing. Except Wolf to veto it.

There is case law, that is precedent established from prior legal decisions regarding the use of local authorities to enforce federal law. Or the federal gov't writing law that forces local authorities to act as agents of the federal government.
