Longs Park (In Lancaster, Pa) doesn't have their rules posted online. I have called and asked them over the phone though (not specifically about firearms as I didn't want them leaving out anything "good") and the lady went right down the list of rules and read it off to me. It's posted there at the park that "you aren't allowed to have firearms" there. I know I posted about this previously but I didn't know there was a specific thread for this sort of thing specifically. I am not aware of anyone being cited for breaking the rule at this time either.

I ride the Schuylkill river trail in Berks, Montgomery and Phila. Here is what I found about Montgomery County Park rules. The firearm's rule is in bold. I called the Parks dept, the secretary said the manager left for the day. I told her I saw the "No Firearms" rule and told her I CC while riding the trail. She told me I shouldn't do that. PA Patroit squared me away on the law. Just a heads up to anyone using Montgomery County Parks.

If you find a county park in violation of preemption, fire off a letter to the county commissioners and the parks department director, as I did here:
http://www.pafoa.org/forum/concealed...nty-parks.html What the heck, include an info copy to the Attorney General and your State Representative, too. If 30 days passes with no feedback at all, do it again. If possible, see if you can attend a county commissioner meeting and raise the issue there. Ask the commissioners if they're prepared to defend a civil rights lawsuit in the event some police officer enforces their ordinance. Remember, this is not about firearms, this is about a county ordinance that is in violation of state law.
