Nice to see this one passed. It never made sense to me that a revolver was OK to carry while hunting, but not a pistol.

Outstanding, thanks for teh heads up.

Question, of it is now ok to carry while hunting, does this mean you can carry in a state park while hunting or in a state park period?

This was touched on in another thread (don't have the link handy at the moment), and it seems like the issue of carry while hunting in a state park is a grey area. Although this law allows carry while hunting, other laws on the books still state that carry in a state park is illegal.

My guess would be that carry in a state park is still illegal until a bill which reverses that law is brought to the table.

Completey senseless, you can now carry while hunting, as long as your not in a state park hunting, but you can carry your hunting gun in a state park, and can not carry a gun in a state park unless your hunting....I'M CONFUSED!!!

I posted in another section, but I, too was wondering about carry on game lands. My understanding is that the new law superseeds others. It makes legal carry during any Title 34 activities. I am still trying to figure out what exactly those activities are.
Carry on federal lands are illegal, for now. Bills are being introduced for that too.

I would like to know if this HB will overrule Hunting Rules and Regulations. The hunting guide lines about a concealed carry are at the present time. Revolver can be carried. Semi-automatic can not be carried.

Will be interesting to see the outcome.

not all federal lands are off limits for carry.

national forests, for example, defer to the laws of the state.

so, in PA, you can carry in a national forest.
