Poor people don't pay taxes -- you want your fair share of the poor let me know and I'll start passing out one way bus tickets to your town. Keeping the state's trash isn't a free service.

Pulling the funding is exactly what you don't want to do. It will only get worse.

I paid city wage tax and never lived in Philadelphia everyone who works in the city pays that tax. It's a temporary tax put in after the war. Of course no tax is temporary. Who pays for SEPTA the rest of the state theres no public transportation where I am. Philadelphia sales tax is 7% passed so they can stay solvent the rest of the state is 6% with the exception of Allegheny who ask for the same tax as Philadelphia. Who pays for your schools and most of the kids can't pass a standard test without the teachers giving them the answers. How much more does Philadelphia want send money. What about Pittsburgh, Scranton, Harrisburg, Wilkes-Berra. Philadelphia gets money from the state, and federal government and live on the backs of tax payers who don't live in the city. If I sound sarcastic you bet your ass I am I never got anything back from Philadelphia for all the money I spent there I would cut all funding to Philadelphia till they showed some fiscal responsibility

Sorry guys for my rant but it burns me up when I keep hearing from Philadelphia just send money and we'll clean it up BULLSHIT

I grew up in Philly and I'm clapping after reading your post. Everyone is Philly looks for someone else to solve their problems. They want to blame guns instead of bad parents, bad schools and lack of jobs.

Another day, and another idiot liberal trying to save the world by picking and choosing which portions of the constitution, that they swore to uphold, they're going to honor.

So can someone tell me how a city government can force gun dealers within the city to report said sale of ammo and guns?

As always I'm up for whatever it takes to shut this dope up. Legally of course.

If you live in Philly and work in Philly== you pay the wage tax.
If you live in Philly and work in the burgs==You pay the wage tax.
If you live in the burgs and work in Philly== you pay the wage tax.

If you live in Alaska and work in Alaska but your company's payroll office is in Philly==
You pay the wage tax.

The U.S. Navy moved its payroll office to Ohio because Philly wanted to tax the Atlantic and Mediterranean Fleets.

FYI....

Did a little research and got the Bill numbers, titles and descriptions. No full text available yet.

If you notice, there are more bills being considered than what was listed in the newspaper article (but of course!).

Here you go:

Bill No. 080015: Prohibit the possession or acquisition of firearms by persons charged with certain criminal offenses.

Bill No. 080016: Acquisition or Transfer of Firearms. To regulate the acquiring or transferring of any firearm within the City of Philadelphia.

Bill No. 080017: Temporary Removal Of Firearms Of Persons Posing A risk Of Imminent Personal Injury To Self Or Others.

Bill No. 080018: Prohibited Possession, Sale and Transfer of Firearms by Persons Subject to Protection From Abuse Orders.

Bill No. 080032: Failure to Report Lost or Stolen Firearm. Requiring prompt notification of lost or stolen firearms and imposing penalties.

Bill No. 080033: Contraband Weapons, Accessories and Ammunition. Prohibition and registration of certain assault weapons and imposing penalties.

Bill No. 080034: Sale or Transfer of Ammunition. Require all sales of ammunition for firearms to be reported to the City of Philadelphia Police Department and to require that Department to maintain a registry of such reports.

Bill No. 080035: Straw and Multiple Handgun Purchase Reduction. Limit purchases of handguns by Philadelphia residents to one a month, and to prohibit ‘straw purchases’ of handguns utilized by criminals for the purpose of evading the one handgun a month limitation.

Bill No. 080036: Reporting Requirements Upon the Application for or Renewal of a License to Carry a Firearm. Provide for certain reporting requirements for the issuance or renewal of licenses to carry firearms within the City of Philadelphia

<snipped a lot of bullshit>
WTF?!

For one thing, half of these are redundant versions of State and Federal law...

For another thing... Sale or Transfer of Ammunition?? Reporting Requirements for LTCF?? Contraband Weapons and Ammo????

What the HELL is this guy smoking?

His name describes him well! he certainly IS a NUTTER!

I am SO glad I don't live in Philly!

Edit:

Oh, jeez... I just read the text of 07034500... "expanding type conical bullet available in handgun chamberings" ... "ammunition, designed or intended to cause injury or death to persons or damage to property..."

That basically outlaws all ammo. Period.

They were all part of the original 18 amendments that were shoot down last year.

Your right I'm bad but thats about the only think to come out of Philadelphia that was any good. (as long as your not talking Geno's or Pat's) but I always buy t LEO"S in Sharon Hill haven't had one from 64th and Lancaster (LARRY'S bellyfull) since I was 16. and I had to pay a tax on it

And were I'm at now they don't have either cheesesteaks or hoagies up here and didn't have good ones in Pittsburgh or Charlotte. And I do miss them.

They even moved the Federal government out of Philadelphia and to New York what does that tell you ???
