This is why I looooooooooove liberals...

If liberals don't like the law, they make up their own! Either through an activist judiciary, or by willfully disregarding the rule of law. But don't you dare try it...do as they say, not as they do!

All state funding should be pulled from Philadelphia if they disregard state law [/wishful thinking]

Of course our Governor will see to it that this is stopped in the courts.

Uh, 18PCS6105(c)(3)? It's already prohibited by state law...

I understand the whole state preemption thing...well..mostly.....but anyway will anything stop them from doing this while Fast Eddie is at the wheel? I am sure he wields incredible political influence over the courts, and everything, even though they are there to keep him in balance. Look at the Allegheny Airport ordinance....Why is the state not saying, "Hey...wait a minute...you can't do that....."

Ok, so what do we do to stop this?

It is obviously against the PA Constitution, but what to do?

I think we need to see what moves they make, this is obviously just politics and they're going to try to get away with whatever they can.

Right now my suggestion would be this: Keep reading here regularly and also check out the Allegheny County Sportsmen's League regularly.

Start saving your spare change and your loose dollar bills, if it turns out we as gun owners need to raise cash quick for lawyers, it'll be good if everyone is prepared.

We really don't know how this is going to play out, but it's better to be prepared for the worst.

Slim
If some of you tightwads in the burbs gave us enough money to properly fund the DA's office and prison space to lock up the scuzzballs for a long time, you wouldn't hear local liberals whining about gun control.

Our biggest problem is dealing with the trash you guys can sweep under PA's rug and keep it there (in philly). Poor people don't pay taxes -- you want your fair share of the poor let me know and I'll start passing out one way bus tickets to your town. Keeping the state's trash isn't a free service.

Pulling the funding is exactly what you don't want to do. It will only get worse.

Already sent a copy to everyone on the Judicial committee and Senator Baker and Congressman Carney. Expressing my disgust that Philadelphia feels it doesn't have to comply with state law. Maybe we should reapportions them into NJ
