Montgomery County has it for all county parks. They even remind you when they issue the permit at the court house. "Remember, this is not valid in County Parks."

I have seen it posted at the local county park. And the Sheriff's Deputy who issued the permit said it to me verbally.

I have contacted Ron Ahlbrandt the Director of Parks and Heritage Services in Montgomery County regarding this issue and will keep you informed of any updates.

for siobhra and anyone else who has a county or sheriff telling them their LTCF is not valid in country parks, here is the section of the PA code that forbids counties from making such a rule:

Quote:
Title 18: Crimes and Offenses

Chapter 61: Firearms and Other Dangerous Articles

Subchapter A: Uniform Firearms Act

Section 6120: Limitation on the regulation of firearms and ammunition.

(a) General rule. No county, municipality, or township may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession, transfer, or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammunition components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited by the laws of this Commonwealth.
and here is the text of the entire PA Uniform Firearms Act:

I went to the limerick town hall today and found out that the board of surpervisiors will hear our concerns on thursday the 30th.

I'm going to try to meet with Daniel Kerr the township manager to discuss the situation.

As for montgomery parks I'm more than willing to go to that meeting as well if the email gets us no where.

As well as talking in front of the doylestown board of supervisors about the situation
