I don't agree with the legislation, but said I understand the thinking behind it. I do disagree that you as an honest citizen and firearm owner will be wrongfully prosecuted. I don't ever want any anti legislation to go through, because a foot in the door is just the beginning. But, I have to say that I agree to disagree with you on your last point.

Ah, but see, therein lies the rub, the difference between me and Nancy Citizen is that her history and story would totally prompt an investigatuion into a Straw Purchase, whereas mine would not. The tools are already in place to get Nancy Citizen on her crimes.

So we can agree to disagree, that's not a bad thing at all. Cheers.

Just called Jerkwad's office, 717 787-2400, apparently he's getting so many phone calls on Gun control, it's now being answered by an automated attendant, Press one if you're calling concerning gun control, let's see if we can fill up the mailbox. >

Also the problem is that while you may think because you have a job and many guns that you are not going to be investigated and charged. But how many times have we seen on this board legal, job holding, law abiding, citizen gun owners harassed and even charged for crimes they didn't even commit?!?! You don't think that if the cop coming to your door investigating a murder with your gun is going to take your word that you didn't know it was stolen? Tell it to the jury..."So you had a $600 firearm, capable of killing another individual, in your house, not locked up, you didn't even know it was missing and you call yourself a responsible gun owner?" Remember, not all your peers are gun owners. The prosecution can make your oversights look really terrible to sheeple.

Hey, kudos to all of those who contacted their legislators and said these are unacceptable bills.

Talking Re: House panel shoots down Rendell's gun control bills

I'm on the email alert list for the Lehigh Valley Firearm Coalition, and was pleased to see this in an email from the chairman today: bold and red text is my doing

"FREEDOM PREVAILED TODAY BECAUSE OF GRASS ROOTS ACTION

Thursday evening, the ACSL and PSA issued an alert that listed the following
organizations as being on record as opposing the legislation.
The ACSL/PSA alert was widely distributed. Chomping at the bit for its first major legislative fight was the Pennsylvania Firearm Owners
Association http://www.pafoa.org/ The founder of the PAFOA is an
expert in
internet communications and has assembled a very large email list of dedicated Pennsylvania activists.
Special thanks to Melody Zullinger of the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, Judy Brown of the Second Amendment Sisters, Ken O'Donnell of West Shore Sportsmen's Association, Inc and Jack Lee of the Pennsylvania Rifle and Pistol Association (PR&PA).
Each of them went above and beyond. They certainly did their part as did
the members and leaders of every organization listed below.

Allegheny County Sportsmen's League (ACSL).
Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs (PFSC).
Pennsylvania Sportsmen's Association (PSA).
National Rifle Association (NRA).
Gun Owners of America (GOA).
Second Amendment Sisters (SAS).
Pennsylvania Rifle and Pistol Association (PR&PA).
Pennsylvania Gun Collectors Association (PGCA).
Lehigh Valley Firearms Coalition.
Philadelphia Federation of Sportsmen's Club.
Pennsylvania Gun Owners Association (PGOA).
Unified Sportsmen of Pennsylvania (Unified).
National Association of Firearms Retailers (NAFR).
Pennsylvania State Fish & Game Protective Association.
The Pink Pistols.
OpenCarry.org.
Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association (PAFOA).
National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
Western Pennsylvania 30 Caliber League, Inc.

Firearms Owners Against Crime (FOAC) the largest gun owners Political Action Committee (PAC) in Pennsylvania will record any support for any of this legislation, now or in the future, as an anti-gun vote. "

*******

As a collective force, we're up for the fight! Keep up the good work, guys and gals - the fight is far from over, and we need to continue to be vigilant to protect our rights as responsible firearm owners, despite how much "Gun Grabbin' Fast Eddie" Rendell wants to villifiy us.

Well done, folks, well done!
