It is no wonder that we lose freedom everyday. Look at the views of folks on here. Something so basic as a new gun law that does nothing to prevent crime which we should all be against and there are many who are fine with it. Now take that to the non gun owning population and the majority are fine with it...

Thanks for the help, and I'll try to make future headers a bit more graphic. Don't worry about getting old, just consider the alternative!

Once more AFAIC, this is a good one to oppose.

At 31, I don't think I can really get away with using the age excuse, but I really couldn't come up with anything better at the time.

The response I recieved.

"This proposal was referred to the House Judiciary Committee in October. It appears to deal only with Safety Training couses, but will look at it carefully if it moves over to the Senate"

This bill needs killed..

Requiring training amounts to requiring someone go to Sunday school to carry a bible.

I'll preface my reply this way. While Everyone could benefit by more training (I could use a refresher myself), and we COULD (not will) enhance the permit system, allowing for more potential recognition. Also there are many people out there that shouldn't own anything more dangerous than a spork, and that's even questionable, So I see this point of view.

That said, I'll agree to this when ALL the following are accepted.

1) Simple English comprehension test (reading, spelling, grammar) given with a pencil, must be passed to get a license to write for, edit, or OWN any form of press. This includes but is not limited to News papers, radio and TV outlets. and websites.

2) Simple Theology test must be passed to exercise religious rights.

3) Current events exam before being allowed to vote (well informed electorate).

4) American History (based on 1950's text books) text before running for elected office.

5) American History, reading comprehension, and comprehension of Federalists papers exam before being permitted to become anything more than a JP in the Judicial system.

6) Bar exam (same as the Lawyers) for All LEO.

7) Ethics tests and review for Lawyers.

8) Physical exam and random drug testing for Welfare recipients (random every six months) you're healthy you can work, you're on drugs, we're not paying for them.

I'm sure given time I can make the list more comprehensive but these are the ones that pop to mind....... What's that.... ohhh, sorry the voices in my head just reminded me, the Pole exam was already tried and found unconstitutional, since you couldn't limit natural rights...... So someone tell me why they are trying it with this right????

Yea I know I can be mean some times.

I'll go along with that as long as you add the Anti-Federalist Papers to number 5.
