Default Night Sights on a Glock

I would like some Opinions on the available night sights for my G22
Trijicon, Meprolite, others?
Thanks in advance!

A few guys that train quite a bit on this list will advocate the use of XS sight systems. http://www.xssights.com/

I happen to like Heinie Straight Eight Slant Pros One of the guys I trained under liked these and I also thought the 2 dot system worked for me. http://www.heinie.com/

3 dot Trijicons are probably a bit cheaper but I never bought them separatly from my pistol. http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/p...m?categoryID=7

There are many others. Do some research. Fire the guns that have different sights at the Pafoa shoot in 2 weeks to see some different models.

Novak also makes a pretty good sight ( as per others) http://www.novaksights.com/novak_sights.htm

I just put a set of Meprolites on my G29 and I love them.

I got the set with a green dot on the front and two orange dots on the rear.

I bought them from a friend who mistakenly bought an extra set for his G21. He sold them to me for $65. I'm not sure what they're going for brand new.

The guy who sold them to me also had all the necessary tools to install them and I put them on myself with his tools.

Either of these. I get the kind that are vertical pegs, NOT ramped (if you have to rack one handed, it'll be necessary).

I have the XS Big Dot tritium front/rear sights on my G26 which is my daily CCW.

These sights are very fast CQB and not target sights. My G26 is POA/POI out to self-defense ranges (7-10 yards). Hitting the gongs at 25 yards get tough due to two factors, the Big Dot obscures the gong and G26 has very short sight radius. Plus, both the front and rear tritium vials glow bright at night. Picked up my set through Brownells for a fair price.

NET: XS Big Dots great for self-defense, not so much for target shooting.

JMHO/YMMV.

I was looking for night sights for my G19 too, and I was recommended either Trijicon or Meprolight. IMO, the Trijicons and Meprolights are about the same brightness (even tho they claim to be the brightest), but the true selling point for the Trijicon is the fact that the front sight's dot is noticeably bigger and hence brighter than the Meprolights. Trijicon's white ring inserts also look brighter (cleaner white, higher contrast) than the Meprolight's (muckier, lower contrast).
Don't get me wrong, Meprolights work well too... I have them on my Kimber (came with the gun). But I decided to get the Trijicons for my Glock because of the reasons stated above. I've seen them go for about upper seventies to lower eighties in most retail places; the Trijicons are usually a few bucks ($3-$5) more than the Meprolights.
Hope this helps. :-)
