I'd worry about your primary optic holding zero with such a small clamping surface. It's not an issue with the fixed magnifiers, which are merely magnifying the sight picture of your primary optic--they can move a bit but it won't affect your accuracy. I imagine a Millett Tactical DMS weighs a good bit more than a fixed magnifier, which could compound any issues with holding zero.
If you could find someone with a flip mount it may be worth trying, but I don't think I'd spend all the money on a Larue flip mount if I wasn't sure it would work. Not a lot to spend on a rifle, but a lot to spend if it's going to sit in a box. Good luck!
