I would start by zeroing at 25 yds. Once on target at 25 yds move to the 100yd range, shoot your 3 round group (should be high) turn the adjustment screw 8 clicks, if your group moves 1" then its 1/8, if it moves 2" then its 1/4, if it moves 4" then it's 1/2.

Just from the dial, it looks like they're 1/2 something clicks. There are lots of reticles that are "inches per hundred yards" and not "moa". It's definitely not a "mil", because that is not a fine adjustment at all. I'm guessing that it's 1/2 moa, but I'll what other info I can dig up.

I realize I could do that, but I already have it zeroed at 200, it's on a 30-06 and the 180 grains that I shoot like to leave me sore. So I thought I'd see if anyone knew the answer here first.

Oh and by the way I just remembered it doesn't click it's a smooth turn.
I did more googling on my own, it seems that it should be 1/2 MOA which would make sense. However it is referred to friction adjustment, so there are no defined clicks. Could one reliably get finer adjustment beyond 1/2 by splitting the hash marks? Or should it be habit to always go to a hash mark. Sorry for my ignorance on this, call me a youngin brought up around click style adjustments only! Last edited by jtsgsxr6; September 28th, 2009 at 08:53 PM. |

You can split the hash marks with no problems. I do all the time with an older M8 6X. They're just reference marks so you can get some idea how much to turn.
I also think that once you are sighted in, you can twist the hash mark ring so that "0" aligns with the mark on the dial. Dale |
