Default Mosin optics options question

So i have an m44 that has been sitting around for a while. I started the project a few years back but never saw it through. It's sitting in a ATI stock and i was debating the approach for the scope when i lost interest. I know the bolt will have to be bent and i'll probably have to use an LER scope but i want to hear your guys feedback first. What and how to you have your mosin setup, and what did it take to get it done. Pics and cost would be great and keep in mind i'm no newbie to basic fabrication but i'm also not a gunsmith. Thanks in advance.

Guns & Glass is on a distinguished road

Many of the MN's are surprisingly good shooters. Best Scout style mount is the S&K available in Weaver style (round lug) or S&K's great ring. Has adjustable F&R pins to stabilize vertical rocking.
Pay a little more, but when you see it's construction you'll know why. Setting aside your ability, another feature is, it's a 'drop in'. No gunsmithing needed.

www.scopemounts.com for the site w/pics & pricing

If wanting a conventional rear mount to use a long gun scope there are a few side mounts that require drill & tap procedure, but that takes away the originality.

Send your bolt out to the Boltman, I send my bolt out to match the MN 91/30 Sniper bolt, and it came out great! http://www.angelfire.com/gundam/boltman/bolt_work/

Rock Solid offerings - Top mounted with matching bent bolt

This is not a cheap option, though. Figure $160 for the complete setup.
