Default Swarovski Laser Guide 8X30

Finally broke down and bought a Swarovski rangefinder, maximum distance is 1600 yds., on a clear day. If you have one share your experiences here.

Information: The new Swarovski Optik Laser Guide 8x30 combines the highest quality standards of Swarovski Optik binoculars with the latest Laser range-measuring technologies, packaged together in a comfortable, compact, lightweight instrument. The result is unparalleled performance in terms of image quality and accuracy – even in poor weather and light conditions, as well as at long ranges. The result is that you have absolute certainty that you always aim at the right target.

Congrats on the purchase...the Swarovski range finder is suppose to be the kat's meow. I have a Leica 1200 Scan that I just bought last year, but your Swarovski is way better than my unit. I'd be interested if you took some pics of it ranging past 1200 yards.

How would one go about taking a pic of it ranging over 1200 yds.

I've seen people use a digital camera and they placed the camera right next to the lens of the range finder. Of course you will have to play around with the focus to make sure that the range is visible.

I tried your suggestion, but you have to practically press the lense againest the eyepiece to even get close to seeing a blurred vision. Maybe I will eventually figure something out, but for now I'm dead in the water.
