S.P.O.T. and certain C-More models will run you around 200.

I put one of these: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=179627

on a Kimber 1911 about 6 months ago. So far, so good, after about 1500 rounds, it holds zero, and makes target acquisition fast. I'm considering putting one on an AR for in the truck.

I have a Tasco ProPoint R/G on my M1A Socom 16. It has handled the .308 recoil so far with no problems. I have had it about 3 years.
Last time I saw one at a show they where going a bit over $100.

A couple years ago I picked up a decent NCStar for about $100. It had a 7 level green illuminated reticle and 3-7 or 8 variable power. The guy I ended up selling it to absolutely loves it.

make sure you get one of the better ones then...

I had an NCStar on my SKS and the reocil made it go "poof" instantly.

I bought a TRUGLO reg/green dot from Dunham's a couple months ago for $50. It has lasted through a couple hundred rounds on my AK, so I'm sure it will last on your AR.

I just added the TruGlo to my AR. I picked it up at Midway...it was $69.99. It has green and red options. Didn't have the cash for an Eotech. First time posting pics so hopefully this works!
