Default Spotting scope - 60x?

I need to get a spotting scope for checking my targets and long range. Walking 200 yards every time I shoot a group is getting REALLY old.

Would a 20-60x be sufficient for checking targets out to 300 yards?

That quality of the glass has about as much to do with seeing the holes as the power. We bought a 18X36 Tasco it does not work as good as our Burris Signature 6X24 rifle scope. Optics are one of the places that we should buy all that we can afford.

Buying the best is good advice. Kowa spotting scopes have a very good reputation.
Here's a link to Creedmore shooting supplies Kowa page. Pricey scope but good.
http://www.creedmoorsports.com/store...5&cat=0&page=1
Follow the link for scopes and stands for a look at other scopes and lower costs.

Well if you shoot that far and can stay on target, there is always modern tech stuff...

You might need a cell phone or a laptop tho

If you put it right next to the target, sure. But you better be sure you are hitting the target.

I am interested in this thread as well. I shoot at about 200 yards myself but it's accross a river. I have to take a four wheeler down a trail and cross. I am thinking of getting one myself so I can set a batch of target and shoot for a few hours!

I want it to be economical cause I don't shoot paper but a few times a year! I'm hoping to keep it to $100 or less.

Ding Ding Ding, Give the boy a prize...

He cought on to the Antenea and its cellular capacities...

Yes, build a small bukker off tot he side of yoru target, and have it sitting there 10 20 feet away filming every thing.

It is also remote, so you can move it side to side or up and down. It can use a cell phone or a laptop to communicate with, (Laptop would need an air card)
For those who wont click on links
