Default Millet DMS-1

Does anyone have one of these mounted on their AR? I saw one at a shop and kinda liked it. I like that it has the 1-4x magnification as opposed to an Eotech ( which can be added) . Any comments or suggestions before I buy? I do like the price to.... around $200. One of my concerns is the length..

I have one on my sons AR. I have it in a CAA mount. http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/A...ail_Mount.html

I like it ok---you can not see the red dot in sun light -- it washes out but you can see the black dot. It is kinda long and heavy but it is ok for a magnified 1-4 power scope. I prefer eotechs because i can shoot them pretty good out to 200yds. But the 4 power of the dms-1 makes those 200yd shots a lot easier.

If you have any specific questions just ask.

do you like that mount? It looks like i would be able to move the scope fairly far forward to get some eye relief with that. I have two ARs so I figured I'd throw this on one and an eotech on the other..

I quick went and took some pics for you. The mount moves the scope so that it is even with the charging handle. If you shoot nose to CH--it will not be far enough forward. If you shoot an inch or 2 from the charging handle it will be fine. Here ya go.

On 1x, you can see the top of the site tower in the lower 1/3 of the scope. It does not bother me. On 4x, you do not see the tower at all.

I have it on my Rob Arms XCR, and I love it. G4F is exactly right about the weight and size of this thing, it's heavy! However, I don't have the same complaint that Guns4Fun had about washout, as my lighted reticle seems perfectly fine in direct sunlight.

The Short Dot isn't that light, either.

Gotta give up something to get that kind of versatility, though.
