Default Night Vision ATN systems

Anyone here happen to use or run across any of the ATN night vision systems in use? For varmint/deer control work, we've settled on several of these:ATN PS22

They attach to the front of a day scope and seem to be fairly robust.

That's a knock-off of OSTI's Universal Night Sight (UNS, PVS-22)

I have an ATN scope but most of my stuff is not ATN. Never used one of the day/night rigs, except a monocular with a reflex sight (or IR laser, of course).

Usually the NV is mounted behind the day scope. NV shows you "a" image, not "the" image, so you want the weapon aiming device sighting on the actual target, not a phosphor screen. But I can only assume it works and I'm just behind the times. Guess I typed a lot without helping much.

Try here:

http://www.nightvisiononline.com/

The forum is sponsored by USNV, but there are some real experts on there not associated with USNV or even the NV business in some cases. Some of them are real experts on physics, optical, or image intensifiers, and a lot of users as well. I've gotten better info there than some of the other forums.

The NV forum over at ar15.com also has some good info that you may want to check out. You'll probably want a nice PVS-14 setup, that seems to be the consensus for a decent, affordable NV rig.
