Thanks. I will call or e-mail Leupold. I like the VariX2. I think they are a good value. I have a VX3 and I like it alot also. It is an old VX3 so being on a budget I wanted to look into the VX2.

Just my opinion guys,
I saved my $$$ and purchased a NF 5.5x22 NXS. It has a lighted reticle for low light use,and a 2moa grid. It can be used with the grid or have your adjustments dialed up. Either way,it is very accurate for me. I have it on a McMillan TAC338 rifle. Have been doing a lot of shooting this summer out to 950yds,scary consistant. Worth the money.Thats just my opinion ppl.

Nah. I heard that he bought a puppy instead, and taught it lots of tricks.

Guns & Glass is on a distinguished road
Default Re: Tactical long range scope?

New VX-II is close to the old VX-III, but VX-3 is much better with alot of improvement.

Leupold is finally catching up. Were like some car companies living on size, advertising & name.

Regarding Leupold VXII vs. VX-II main upgrades. Note position of the ' -' in the model name to determine the old from new.

Fully Coated vs. Fully Multi Coated
Feature= Air-Glass surfaces have 1 coat vs 4 coats
Benefits= Better light transmission, and improved resolution.
Definately will see better w/the new

Ajustments
Friction vs. Click
Feature= More positive, stays in place better.
Benefit= Easier to evaluate adjustment vs. POI. More accurate
Value= 1/2" vs. 1/4"

Glass & coatings are the same in the Mark 4 & VX-3,. Wanting just a hunting scope or a bench rest scope? save the $$$ and buy the VX-3 and with the $avings better bases & rings!!!

If the money AND willingess to spend the $$$ is there Lapuatom is right.

Budget considerations being a normal factor for many, personally would put on Burris especially the XTR if not a Night Force.
