Default Leupold VX-III

Anyone use the Leupold VX-III? I was thinking of getting one for my Savage 10FLP in .223 for hunting varmits? I was thinking of going with a 4.5 X 14 x 50

I have currently have two. The .270 has a 2.5 x 8 and the .300 H&H has a 1.75x6 on it. I don't think you can go wrong with one.

I have a VX-II on my deer rifle 3X9X40. I figure with being able to hunt year round I would go with the VX-III for the better optics. I was just wondering if they were worth the price tag of twice of the VXII

Oh I forgot, I have a 6.5x20 on the .220 swift. As far as the cost over the Vari II, I know what you mean. On a varmint gun sure, on big game I got by fine with a couple older Vari II 's in 2x7 and straight 4 power. Oh hell just go get one.

The VXIII is well worth the money especially on a varmint rig when you need clarity at high magnification to reach out and touch small critters. I have 7 of them and never ever had a single problem with any of them. Plus Leupold's customer service is second to none so I hear. Buy once cry once!!!

Thanks everyone I will be buying the VXIII when I get my taxes back. It is a lot of money but I know they are worth every penny.
