I voted for the Aimpoint M4 only because I recently bought one for my AR.

I chose the Aimpoint M3 because it is currently the best capability vs. price point. The M4 is obviously superior, but you will pay for it.

The EoTechs in all incarnations have issues, though many prefer the reticule for close engagements.

The Tripower is probably decent, but overly complex, expensive and cumbersome.

All other options are garbage.

Yes.

What about the Trijicon Reflex made you choose it out of the available field?

I edited my post to reflect this:
I like "best" it's simplicity.
But also it's light weight and lack of batts. I get to "play" with all the stuff mentioned due to my biz. Just always stuck with the RII since around 2000

Simplicity is a very important concept, as long as it does not detract from capability. The Aimpoint Comp M3 series will last 5 years when left on a standard setting. The M4 series has an even longer battery life on simple AA batteries. I know many can't get over their distrust of batteries, but the technology is mature.

Here are some interesting pictures:

The LEO was at the range put the carbine in its case on top of his trunk, got distracted, and drove off with the gun in case still on the trunk of his car. While on the interstate it fell off and got ran over by a Semi. Here is a picture of the carbine. The only thing that survived is the CompML2.
What type of mounts have you used for your reflex? Does your optic have the polarizing filter installed? Have you had a chance to employ it during low light conditions or conditions of high contrast? (i.e. you are indoors shooting out a doorway at a target out in bright light)

actually, i think aimpoints are sexier. eotechs look goofy on an ar, imho.

the one thing i don't like about my eotech, though, is that it shuts itself off after 8 hours. i don't get that...the batteries are cheap and last for thousands of hours...it's not like you need to worry about burning through batteries.

it would really suck to grab it when you need it right now...and have no reticle because the stupid thing turned itself off.
