Not that you'd actually be "in the wrong" at the end of the day, why invite the hassle with your election? You know your opponent will have their antennas up, looking for you to do "something wrong." I'd just avoid the hassle, if you're on the ballot.

Otherwise..... OC away!
I agree completely. I get enough in the way of accusations about being intimidating when I am just standing around minding my own business. Add in a gun, and people are sure I am about to go haywire any second, just because I am a big scary guy. In reality, I am nothing but a soft, warm teddy bear - with a gun.

Gee, I'm surprised that they allow you to have internet access in your jail cell...

Yes, I are as always, as long as you vote in a place that's not prohibited to begin with your good to go

No constable on duty at my polling place today. I assume because he is on the ballot, and thus can't be hanging out inside. Absolutely no one outside representing any candidates at all.

In any event, there were no issues, and I returned home without incident, with my Para .45 and a Taurus Tracker .357 safely (and visibly) in tow.

**ETA - I didn't vote for the constable. I wrote myself in.

Walked the gauntlet to get inside. OC'd inside, no problems. In and out in 10 minutes.

Somebody crapped their pants in there. It smelled horrible. A hot chick walked in behind me and I caught her eyes at first. Then she sorta avoided my love gaze. I think she thought I had crap in my pants.

I know you haven't missed a vote for 80 years. But if you crap your pants, please stay home. Or go home, clean up and come back.

Possibly, people claim all sorts of contrived nonsense when they want something...

Right, I'm sure such an accuser would be made to look quite foolish at the end of the day.

If I were ever to run for office I would OC (or not, some months require a coat afterall ) just like I do any other time... I'm not inviting trouble, I'm simply being who I am. To not OC would be dishonest.

Default Re: Any1 Oc'ing to polls?

I OC'ed this morning to vote - normally I don't report anything, but there was a comment or two.....

First thing outside the polling place is the constable standing talking with two guys that looked like those old men that used to hang around the town square gas station all day long 40 - 50 years ago - dirty sweat pants, slippers, hacky sweat shirt, 4 day beard growth, etc... I said good morning gentlemen (which was a stretch to start with - why my parents ever allowed me to go to the gas station by myself to get a creamsicle is beyond me!!). The one old guy says "that's our second gun here today, I didn't see what kind it was"... I wasn't even 10 feet from him when he said it, like I wasn't even there.
Alright, which one of you guys beat me to the poll today???? (Gardners - Uriah Church)

So one of the old guys follows me inside (I had to look to make sure it wasn't the constable). He comes right up to me and stands close and is looking at my firearm. Never said a word to me, but the old spidy sense is tingling since he is so close. I guess he figured out what I was carrying (Hi-Power Browning 9mm). No one else said anything either. Than someone left without closing their ballot (electronic machine) so they scrambled to take care of that - must have to fill out paperwork, etc. I no longer mattered, they had more important things to take care of....

So pretty uneventful, other than the constable said "Have a nice day, SIR...", when I left.

This was my first time OC'ing when I voted.....It felt good to exercise this right and know it is legal.
