Default Re: Saw my first OC'er

I live in Philly so I don't ever see anyone OCing. I did "make" someone though who was carrying SOB. I wanted to strike up a conversation but was afraid to make a fool of myself;

me: Hey man, are you rockin a Sig there? (points at gun) It's one of my favorites.
him: I'm undercover on a stakeout and you just outed me you f__king idiot!
me: Whoops, sorry dude. Is that 9mm? Do you think it has enough stopping power?

I OC near Harrisburg every other weekend, typically orrstown/shippensburg/chambersburg area

I hate to bring it to you, but that is not OC. If you cover that gun with your arm it is considered concealed and you will be needing a license. I had a big discussion with Todd from A&S in Youngwood about it once and he to said, it is ridiculous but OC does not need a license.......CC does.

Here in Greensburg, on Broadstreet, there is a guy that walks there every day with a Glock. He is smart enough to carry it in a place that it is not considered CC.

In PA you don't need a license for OC but it will definitely draw attention from the cops. If you walk the same street every day.... they will leave you alone after a period of time. They will get sick of stopping to ask the same questions every day.

Ummmm, no. You are quite wrong there...........

And OC does not draw attention from properly trained LEO's.

His fault for not hiding it properly. As for the hand gesture, how about flailing your arms above you while running in circles yelling "BOOGEDY BOOGEDY BOO" at the top of your lungs?

Quite true. He walked past Warpt 7.62x39 and I, without breaking stride, says softly, "Poofa," and keeps walking. I'm half deaf, I barely heard him and it didn't register. Warpt heard him and stopped him, though.
