Default Retention Training - redux (Pittsburgh and surrounding areas)

Retention Training in the Pittsburgh greater area.

Prior class thread:http://forum.pafoa.org/open-carry-14...portunity.html (Retention training opportunity)

I am interested in another round of this training since I was racing during the last one.

At this point as we did last round I want to gauge interest and get at least 10 people down so we can get the class rolling.

The list of people CONFIRMED so far:

Definite:
1. Falcn
2. ShawnL
3. Annie Oakley

Possible depending on date:

This is not enough people to hold the class - minimum is 8

Definitely out:
NP1724
Chesterton123
Unloved
Smalls
PAallterrain
LittleRedToyota

CLASS DETAILS
Location: 3606 Brownsville Road Pittsburgh, PA 15227 <- Click for Google Maps

Course Cost: $100/person Payable by checks, or cash (I have PayPal if some prefer that)

Necessary Items: Inert training gun and a holster

Date: Sunday, Nov. 15th, 2009
Time: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

I'll be posting more details as they unfold and updating this first post with new information to prevent new people from having to search through pages of posts.

Thanks,
Ryan

Price: $100
you will need an inert training gun that fits your carry holster

what I did last time was get a list of available dates from Pete. For this one I would suggest no sooner than mid November. You need to recruit the people, get and hold their checks, communicate with everyone,............ a month is not a whole lot of time for that.

after you get the available dates pick off the ones that wont work for you. Then PM the available dates to those who are on the list. have them tell you which they cannot make, and pick your date from there. Thats what seemed to work best for me.

dont debate dates in thread, it never goes well.

oh, did I mention, I'M IN

I would be highly interested.

I'm not from Pittsburgh. (About 3 hours away). However my G/f graduated from St. Vincent in Latrobe and would love to make a trip up to Pitt to see some of her girlfriends that moved there.

If it would be on a Fri/Sat you can definately count me in.

Sidenote: Where would I find a blue gun? I know you mean the plastic ones. I guess an internet search is in order.

Yeah the blue gun thing....I guess it doesn't have to match the carry gun exactly, just fit the holster, correct?

I don't think there is a CW9 Blue Gun out there....

Shawn - I PM'ed Pete about dates, but haven't heard anything - maybe I will ping him again.

Well that may pose a problem since me retention holster is made specifically for my weapon. No worries though, I'll see what I can find. If not, I'll just pick up another holster and a Blue Gun.

But definately count me in at this moment.

I'm interested although time is limited. If it falls when I have my son, then no. Also, probably would be best on a Sunday (Deer Season).
