Cabela's Corporate Offices have confirmed, in the past, that they support the legal Open Carry of firearms in their stores:

http://forum.pafoa.org/open-carry-14...print-out.html (Cabelas Gun Policy PRINT THIS OUT!!!)

You may want to call corporate and lodge a complaint.

...

And out of curiosity, why would you do a transfer at Cabella's and not a local gun shop that could use the business?

A man wearing a gun at the gun counter of a store that sells guns is making customers near the gun counter nervous, and the man selling guns tells the man transfering a gun that guns in open view should be covered.

Sense. That makes none.

No, you see, guns in holsters can JUMP OUT AND SHOOT PEOPLE WITHOUT WARNING!!

They're so much different than guns on counters or guns on shelves.

Or something.

Define irony. A man wearing a gun at the gun counter of a store that sells guns is making customers near the gun counter nervous, and the man selling guns tells the man transferring a gun that guns in open view should be covered.

Our Gander MTN has a similar sign, but says it does not apply to patrons that have an LTCF.

Did I just hear my name mentioned?

Looks like it has already been covered.

If you go to the linked thread and scroll down to the bottom of the first post, just click on the red PDF and you can print out the actual e-mail I got from corporate. That should cover any questions the local store may be confused about. Feel free to call Joe and he will straighten them out in a hurry.
