So as I was walking down Carson St. today enjoying the beautiful day in South side I passed by JB Books and saw it...

FIREARMS are absolutely Prohibited

It was at eye level right next to the door. Corporate never did get back to me but I guess I have my answer.

but as mentioned by others, was that her sign, or a corporate one? Might be worth following up with something that has often worked for me. Search for the CEO's name and address. Then send the original letter (with an edit or two), plus the name of "Chris" (and her formal title) using the "addressee only, return receipt" USPS system. Believe me, within about an hour of the CEO receiving (and signing for the letter), a very senior PR person will be on the phone to you. Does not hurt to put a "cc" on the bottom to your local BBB and the BBB in the headquarters city. Dave_n

I went in there last night CC (barely just a T-shirt covering my OWB carried CW9). I didn't notice a sign, and I did a pretty good scan. this was the store on the South Side shops on Carson.

If I would have seen this thread before I would have stayed out.

How can it be an issue if no one knows about it? The operative word in 'concealed carrying' is concealed.

The sign i saw is on the window right next to the door handle on the right side of the door on the carson st entrance.

It looked all new and shiny so that might be exactly what it is, new.

And i never had a problem carrying there...openly...until the GM came to me and gave me her song and dance.

And yes, since the GM Chris might have put the sign up by herself I will be faxing my previous emailed letters to corporate and see if they respond. If they don't and have recieved my correspondence before without responding then they really are a crappily ran organization who don't really care about customer service.

Ah - we went in the side doors around the corner from Carson as we were headed "up" from the Claddagh Pub. I could have missed it, but didn't see a sign. Just the usual VISA/MC accepted here and hours.
