no-body noticed or cared............!!

I thought carrying in a Post Office was against Federal law? It seems that your whole intent of open carry was to be "noticed", to the point that you want to shove it in someone's face just to be noticed! Be happy that no one had an issue with your open carry and that maybe open carry is not the problem that it once was. Carrying into a Post Office is just plain stupid.

Dude, you have no idea what I'm saying here, the post office, she's my fricken hero,post-master,owner of the general store, head of EMS ,local fire chief, and my neighbor,173 pop,you got it ?You think I'm struting ?You think I lack attention ? Go away dude,I don't need your attention ! This is a very happy story and I could not be happier and more content to live in a place so laid
back and that is the only point, that it ain't a big deal.Dude, there is a certain amount of stupidity here, don't read it into this thread, nothin stupid about it.
The only point being made here is how cool can it be to live in a place like this.

Go away....!!
PS. I forgive you,you must be from Philly...!

I am glad you had a good day OCing. It is cool when everyone knows the law and we can walk around exercising our rights as law abiding citizens. I am going to throw my two cents in here, so you can take it or leave it. Not to rain on your parade, but carrying a firearm in a post office IS against the law. I see that the post master is cool with you, but if you were in there when a LEO walked in, let’s just say it could have gotten ugly. You risked a lot by doing what you did. If it were me, I would have to play it safe and not risk being prosecuted.

This is understood and I would never do anything so risque normally. If you've ever been too these extremely small burrows, you know what I'm saying.
It's not but a little tight nit community where everybody knows every body to the extreme. It's a community thing to help each-other even in the most meanial tasks, fire wood for example.I can understand what you are saying but understand this,It's one big happy family and if you are a d&%k,you don't fair well,it's just the way it is and I love it.!
I may be politicly incorrect but,that's country,no more,no less..!!

PS. Haven't seen a uniform in over two years in this area..

All it takes is one person to mention you carrying in the Post Office for you to be arrested, charged and found guilty of a federal crime, lose your LTCF, and be barred from owning ANY firearm at all. Carrying in the Post Office--or any federal property--is a federal crime, and your friend doesn't have the authority to let it slide.

If someone complains about your "fricken hero, post-master, owner of the general store, head of EMS, local fire chief, and my neighbor" she is going to roll over on you in a heartbeat. And just because SHE is your bud, doesn't mean the rest of the people in the PO are or even like her. Who knows, maybe one of THEM is after her job and sending up the "She lets her friends carry guns in here" to her boss will get them her job.

People suck and are asshats in a town of 173, just like they are in towns of 173 mil. Plus, would suck for you if you walked into the PO the one day someone from the regional office swung by, huh?

Do it if you want, but don't bitch when it blows up in your face. Carrying in the PO is a big deal, and you could get hammered in a REALLY bad way. I wouldn't do it again if I were you.

A point well taken and thanks, don't want to get any body else in trouble.
Some times I guess I just don't think.

I'm gonna have a talk with the old hero, she may have not even noticed I was carring .Like I said,it's pretty laid back and off the beaten trail. The PO. and general store is all in the same place, but I will be more aware.
