My First Silly Sheeple Encounter While OCing!

I thought many of you would get a kick out of this...

After my positive LEO encounter at the Slippery Rock Sheetz, I stopped at the Grove City Sheetz the next day for some coffee. This wasn't my first time OCing at my hometown store, but it was my first silly encounter with a sheep, who happened to be an employee. She's a younger woman and was really nice throughout the encounter.

She was refilling the coffee station. I purchased my coffee, turned around and she was right there with THE question...


"Is that a real gun?"

Yes.

"Don't you need some kind of license or something to have that?"

Nope. Not if it's in the open.

"Really? It's kinda scary."

Nah.

"When you first came in, I was a little nervous. Then I saw you were getting cappuchino, so I figured you were okay and not some psycho."



Now, I know what she meant - I was there to buy coffee, not hold up the place - but it just sounded so funny the way she said it.

As if psychos don't buy coffee....

That's pretty amusing.... clearly nobody would every get coffee before robbing a place.

Yuppies drink cappuchino and psychos drink coffee. If you went for the coffee, she woulda been calling 911.

Seriously though, she thought you were ok just because you were buying coffee? Like a criminal wouldn't scope out the store, act like a patron, then rob them at the best opportunity?

I'm not sure where I fit in, then...mine was a 60-40 split of coffee-cappuccino.

As far as your second point:
"Yes, I'd like the contents of your register...and throw in a large coffee, too! Thanks!"

Yea, I think that term is used way too loosely around here. Who cares if she is scared by guns? Did she say she was scared of them because the government or media told her to be? You can call her whatever you want but I dont think calling everyone who doesnt like or is scared by guns is productive.


Anyway, sounds like a decent encounter.

Most people scoping out a store to rob usually try to hide their gun before hand. They don't want people to be on their guard.
