Default Well this just might be a first, OC IN a Police Station

Had to get fingerprinted today and get the local chief's signature for my NFA paperwork today so I made an appointment Friday.

Showed up at 3 and my one buddy (one of the officers) came to the door and said to come in. I asked him if he needed my firearm before I entered (it was concealed at this point cause of the UGLY weather) the offices (I thought I had heard it was illegal) and looked at me and said "Why? I know you have it" with a big grin on his face.

So I walk in and 3 officers and the chief are there. My buddy says "You might want to take your coat off for this" so I do. Do the fingerprint thing.

While he is fingerprinting me he asks "Do you get any funny looks or comments walking around town like that?" Told him "Nope, as a matter of fact I just posted a thread on the forum I belong to about that, no one has ever said a word or made a single comment" ... he found that interesting to say the least.

Then he directs me to the bathrooms to clean up my hands (in the municipal offices) and I wander through Glock proudly on my hip for all to see. Coming out of the bathroom one of the supervisors sees me (another friend), grabs me and says "NOW what did you do?" dripping with sarcasm. I started laughing and said "You think they would let me wander around here with a gun if I did something?"

So I walk back into the police offices and another officer comes back out with the signed ATF forms and asks me to pick up my jacket (it was on the 'lock up' bench and they were handcuffing a girl to it). Grabbed it and the forms then realized the officer that fingerprinted me forgot to sign the fingerprint cards so I walked back in.... no one said boo (but the girl handcuffed to the bench gave me some SERIOUSLY strange looks.)

So there you have it ... an actual OC 'incident' within a police station. All I can say is GOD I LOVE BARRETT TOWNSHIP!

Not wishing to be cheeky, but "And your point is???"

This is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where it's basically not illegal to carry in local government buildings or police stations (court facilities excepted). I, for one, routinely open carry at our borough council meetings.

But, good for you! (And I honestly, truly mean it.) Felt good, didn't it? Gotta love Pennsylvania.

I've (intentionally) OC'd in several police stations including Wilkes-Barre city, Dickson City, Fairview Twp, and Capitol Police... Maybe others (?) I loose track ...

Other than some dirty looks by one LEO at Wilkes-Barre PD, never a problem...

It's a good thing they knew you---otherwise, they would have tazed ya, pepper sprayed ya, strip searched ya and locked you in a cell naked.

Just messin with you. Glad it was an uneventful day at the police station. Congrats on getting your sbr forms done.

Sick bastards---I like the way they think . I don't think that would be considered an abuse of power since it was "just for fun" and all .
