When two silverbacks confront for a round of chest-pounding, the one with the badge usually wins.

In referring to your own experiences, many would call that a Pyrrhic victory... still, a victory nonetheless, so touche'. That said, although you won the war, the first round/battle did go to your opponent.

I don't think I agree with that. But I'll defer that to witness opinions.

Wait a second...has there been some final resolution? I've been away for a few days. What did I miss?

They win the prize of a great big lawsuit on their record. And possible a disciplinary action placed in their folder.

I heard of an out-of-court settlement in Louisiana for a few thousand dollars, but I'm not aware of any PA LEO's being held accountable for some of the incidents reported against our members here... or even getting a slap on the wrist... yet.

Let's not praise anyone's luck before they've gotten it.

I was not aware that disciplinary actions were made public.

Then I guess any mention of them, especially in light of a "win", is mere speculation.

That said, I would certainly like to see every LEO who misconducts himself in re handling of OC incidents to, at the very least, get an official reprimand... especially for those "I don't care what you consent to" attitudes.
