Shouldn't a sentence like that end with "your highness" or something like that?

That sort of cop is nothing but a disgrace of America and all that it stands for. They still try to finish the job that the redcoats didn't get done over 200 years ago. Completely disarm and subdue the American population. They probably carry a picture of the Queen where they should carry one of their family.

Thought you guys might get a kick out of some misinformation floating around out there. This was sent to me by an attorney. Don't worry, I got permission to post it.

Quote:
A client of this office was in Easton getting his license renewed, and the sheriff said unto him – “ya know, you guys can open carry, now” The client says “oh yeah?” faking ignorance, and the sheriff goes on to tell him this story about some guy who was open carrying at the Home Depot in Allentown, got arrested, sued the cop and got $35,000.
Following further discussion with the aforementioned legal eagle I have called the Northhampton county sheriff to try and confirm and correct. He wasn't in but I left my contact info and a brief message. If he calls back I'll probably take the oppurtunity to also point out all the inappropriate uses of the word "concealed" on the county web site and in his phone recording.

$35,000 will buy alot of pizza!

Honestly, I hope you get alot more than that. You were wrongfully held and humiliated in front of how many customers, and then you are just supposed to forgive them for being douchbags? I don't think so.

But didn't you read their response? Everything was consensual, and the officer involved did say, "Pretty please, with butter on it."

See I don't believe that the cops should of took your firearm and unloaded and placed it next to you. Usually bad guys that carry guns and rob stores don't usually open carry. if your standing in an isle looking for hardware, I think the max they should do is check out your LTCF and maybe run a background check quickly to see that everything is Legit. It's good that it went well and you handled it fantastic, but I think that was a little extreme, but then again, when you open carry, I guess you should be ready to be "bothered". I wish it wasn't like this, this sux

What possible reason do you think the cops would have to check his ltcf or do a background check for a perfectly legal activity? Should they be able to come into your house and check to see if your tv is stolen too?

Or pull over every car a cop sees to make sure the driver has a drivers license? Boy has MSM liberalized America.....it sickens me.

The ACLU should be all over this issue, the way they protect free speech by defending pornographers at the fringes. If the police can just take your firearm and run the serial number to see if it's stolen, then why can't they stop your car and run the VIN against the stolen car database? Or stop everyone with a child and run the kid's prints against the Amber Alert system?

Without evidence of an ACTUAL crime, the cops shouldn't be able to exercise the power of the state to make you do anything at all, including talk to them, show ID, turn over any possessions, or piss into a cup. I can refuse to fly if I don't like being X-rayed and frisked, but I'll be damned if I give up buying lumber.
