Sorry but they are not violating your rights. They are exercising THEIR rights as private property owners. I know it's frustrating and I don't like it either. Our option is to choose another place to do business. It sounds like this is the avenue you choose so kudos to you for standing your ground. Just remember you don't "have a right" when it comes to PRIVATE PROPERTY.

PS. I see you're in Lebanon County and a fairly new poster here. Welcome. I'm in Lebanon too. Maybe I'll see ya OCing around sometime.

It's been THREE WHOLE MONTHS since the lawsuit was filed. Has Allentown ever responded? If so, what was their response? It might be interesting to read something humorous.

That shit is infuriating!! Cops not knowing the law?!?! WTF. Reading that story is seriously making me consider OC-ing when I'm not in the city.

Egads! It sounds like that poor cop was minding his own business when TrueCrimson totally screwed up his day by *gasp* wearing a menacing gun on his hip.

Poor, poor police officer.

Seems like their plan is to deny everything... We'll see how they do under oath.

Wait, this was their honest to God reply? Seriously? You must be kidding, right?

When he displayed his firearm? Due to his behavior at Home Depot? What a bunch of clowns.

So in summation, their counter argument is that Jerry, by breaking no laws, and furthermore by COOPERATING with the offending law enforcement officer, brought distress upon himself via his actions? Ugh.

I think the 11th Affirmative is interesting.

Quote:
ELEVENTH AFFIRMATIVE DEFENSE
Plaintiff’s right to bear arms, in this case, is based upon state law and not federal law. The County of Lehigh issued Plaintiff a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
They seem to think OC rights are granted by a state LTCF rather than something which is a US and PA Constitutional right which has not been otherwise restricted.
