Default Do you carry a light along with your pistol

Assuming you carry during the hours of darkness do you carry a light, and if so where? And if not..why?

I carry my light all the time day or night everywhere.

Why, Low light shooting or for seeing. Even in the day if power is lost it can be dark inside any building.

Thumbs up Re: Do you carry a light along with your pistol

Nope. Feel that it would be more of a hinderance than help. I know it can be useful for distraction but most places aren't dark enough for that with street lamps, car lights, etc.

Where I park, it's dark, but I typically activate the lights on the truck (inside and out) from a distance before I get to it and it lights up the surrounding area, long before I get to it.

Now, tell me how wrong I am. I'm a big boy, I can take it.

My thinking is that you will have to see more things then you will have to shoot. As far as only carrying one when it is dark, the vast majority of my "oh sh!t," I need a flashlight movement occurred inside buildings.

Is this question asking if we having a light mounted to the accessory rail or if we carry a hand held light? I don't have one attached, I think it might cause some issues as far as CC'ing and also finding a holster to begin with. I do on occasion carry a small mag light in my pocket if I know I'll be out at night.
