You have a permit to carry that thing boy? I said sir I am 22 years old and yes I do. So long story short he was a real dick and tried for about 30 mins to bust my balls, he realized it was going no where so he went away.

Another time was an encounter with the Lancaster city police. Long story short I got pulled over for squealing my tires accidentally. Informed him of my armed status and my permit status. He pulled me out of my car in only a T-shirt in 45 degree weather left me sit on the curb for like 45 mins. 7 squad cars showed up and every last one of them was an ass hat. As I go to leave the Officer that showed up dead last stuffs his head in my still down window and looks me dead in the eyes and says to me and I quote." If it was me I would have pulled you out of this car by your fucking eyebrows!!'
Then he proceeds to leave with my opermit in his hand. So I pull out behind him and walk up to his car after he stops and I inform him he still has my permit, he says and I quote yet again. "You should never apporach a squad car I could have very well fucking shot you." He hands me my permit and prceeds to tell me how people who carry guns are always looking for a fight and we are all trouble.

I just wanted to say something. I'm really proud of us. We've had a lot of great discussion and examples here with NO arguments. Awesome everyone.

Carry on.

I'm still thinking about Lycanthrope's post. The hot tub full of alcohol sounds good but I don't smoke cigars. Dang.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, just a quick question..

I have followed your story a bit and, from what I've read on this forum so far, I'm under the impression that it's illegal to carry in a vehicle unless going to/from a range/ffl/etc.. without a LTCF.

So my question is do you not drive/ride in vehicles anymore? Or is there a way around the vehicles thing that I've missed in the forum so far? Perhaps I misunderstood or am missing something...

I ask because it's looking likely I will be a PA resident soon. Unfortunately I have made mistakes in my past that I'm learning will most likely not allow me to obtain a LTCF in PA. So, OC most likely being my only option at that point.. the vehicle thing really makes my only carry option very difficult to implement.

Again, perhaps I misunderstood.. but any info would be greatly appreciated.

Expect the following questions

Is it real?
Where do you work/what department are you with? (if you have a clean shave, somewhat in shape and wear 5.11 pants or jacket)
Are you on the job?
Are you a cop?
Why do you have a gun?

I have had many opportunities to educate people about their rights and mostly positive experiences. I have had Sgt. Greene of Stroudsburg Regional PD go out of his way a month or so ago to tell me that he didn't like me OCing and would preffer I cc and that he thinks there is no need to OC.
I have had owners of some establishments ask me to cover up the firearm. It's their establishment, their rules. Generally I comply, often enough I patronize their competitors in the future.

In Pa., you can 'lend' your firearm to any other licensed party. For now, SFN can 'lend' her firearm to such a person, they can transport it to her destination, and she can then OC as she usually would. During this temporary inconvenience for her, there have been local members willing to assist her in this matter - but you are correct that having to do this as an ongoing routine would be pretty difficult.
