I like crazy chicks too. I would avoid falling in love with one, but boy can you have some fun with them behind closed doors!

Wow! Thanks for all the replies! (Especially those that provided links to detailed stories!) As metioned I am new to this forum, and many of the threads in this forum talk about unpleasant encounters with LEO, or uninformed jerks! It's nice to hear and and know that other people are OC'ing daily and have not had major issues. So once again thanks for the input, and I would love to hear from others, if they haven't chimed in!

Do what you feel comfortable with. I wish all firearm owners OC'ed.

I OC on a fairly regualr basis, save for a few select places as per the wifes request, but that is another story. I have been hassled but only a time or 2. I usually get no responses from anyone, as most people have no idea what is happening around them. I have also answered a few questions about he legality of firearms in certain situations.

All in all its been a good experience for me, But as I said I have those 'bad days'. But we all do in one way or another.

Dave

I OC once a week or so...whenever theres a place in town I need to go. Nobody has ever said anything to me, except in a conversation once someone asked if I was on my way back from target shooting. In fact, it seems people are actually nicer to me

If you carry yourself in a position of professionalism, and generally that of a good natured person, then you should for the most part not have any problems. The only thing that you can and never will be able to answer is who out there who is not in the "know" about there own states laws (ignorant) in other words will be the one that is right next to you in line at the grocery store, or at the restaurant, or at Home Depot, and will be sure to point out what you are doing and how it is uncomfortable to them. You cannot prepare for staying away from them, so you have to be comfortable with yourself, your sidearm, your laws, flyers from this website, and what to say in a professional manner should one of those people call you on it, or call the LEO's.

that is my advice to you

I am going to make a holster with a thumb break, then I might just be "naughty" one day. There's no way for me to know how people will react until I do it. Probably freak a bunch of women out at the Goodwill, and the guy who runs the beer store will likley be asking me questions or telling me it should be covered. I don't go in that store, but he is always outside smoking and he looks like a tough guy. I walk by to go to the Goodwill. Speaking of the Goodwill, I picked up a 1989 copy of "Armed and Female" by Paxton Quigley, it was just laying there waiting for me.

Now the poo would probably hit the fan if my black friend OC'd with me, esp since the only holster he has is a drop leg one LOL. Things would possibly be Danbus- like, only the southern PA version rather than the Norfolk version. Of course my friend could use the money from a harrassment lawsuit! LOL! I want to organize a local OC lunch and hope he can attend. No, he doesn't dress gangsta, but he sometimes starts growing a fro LMAO...

I open carry as much as possible, only ever been harassed by a Walmart manager one time it was brief and to the point. I was right and he went away defeated and quickly. I will say this I have had more problems carrying concealed then I have carrying openly.
