re: the photo for the Utah CCW

I would do this at a Passport photo place. I attended my BCI recert this spring out in Utah and they showed several examples of photos that were rejected. The BCI folks recommended using a passport photo service.

I know AAA takes the photos, as well as some drug stores. PakMail and the UPS Store should do it as well.

It sounds like we'll have the Notary and the Printing taken care of though. Thanks to all who are pitching in. This is turning out to be a great team effort.

Jason

Yes, Jason, you are correct about drug store photos. We had all of our passport pics taken at a CVS drug store last year.

Sears does passport photos as well.

Jason, if my husband is going to do the prints, you know someone will need to have the ink and cards there...just wanted to verify that.

I am just sort of trying to make sure i have all the info correct in my head..... the 4 hour course is $80. The finger printing and Notary are going to be there but separate (as far as fees go). This is a classroom only class, no live fire exercises. The classroom will be cold. If I got any of that wrong please let me know...... thanks!!

I took my course last week but I havent sent it in or done my fingerprints. We used 30 live rounds and classroom time.
you will get: Lic to carry firearm form for UTAH stamped by the instructor, sign in front of a notory also a book or manual on the laws, course and safety.

you will need:
30 rounds of AMMO if doing live shooting. I was told you must shoot with both hands. (i did)
Blue card. (white card with blue writing for fingerprints)
2-2X2 Photos
copy of drivers lic
copy of LTCF PA
$65.25 fee for UTAH permit

I hope I covered everything.................

From the application, I see only ONE 2x2 photo is necessary... also, no mention of requiring a copy of LTCF for PA. Did I get an outdated form?

you are correct about 1 picture and LTCF pa copy not required according to application instructions....... I was told I should include them. I guess it couldnt hurt for them to see you have a LTCF already in PA and the nonresident permit from them is in addition to PA.

Just what I was told

I'm of the same "it couldn't hurt" opinion and made a photocopy of both driver's license and LTCF to include with the application... I was just wondering if it became a requirement and concerned that maybe I had an outdated form.
