It's been a while since my last update. There has been little activity on my end, but here is what we believe will be the final numbers related to this case.

Funds collected so far: $2465.05
Additional funds given directly to Meleanie at the Utah CCW benefit: $1220.00
Total legal bills to date: $3214.60
Remaining balance in donation account: $470.45 (last updated 10/17/08)

I have written two checks, for a total of $1994.60 to Meleanie. I have bills to verify all charges, and in this case, wrote the checks directly to her because she had already incurred direct out-of-pocket expenses, and also had additional monies from the Utah CCW class to combine before payment to the attorney.

At this time, we believe that there will be no further expenses incurred, and are no longer actively seeking donations for this case.

I assume any excess funding can be placed into MtnJacks legal fund considering his legal fees will surely increase due to the case being carried over to a higher level of court.

JMHO as to a use for the excess funds............

Rich and I haven't actually discussed that point yet, but since leftover funds will definitely go to other "individuals", that certainly is an option. I want to be absolutely sure that there aren't any left-over charges coming yet for Meleanie, before the money is 'released' from her name.
